Parks and Rec Holiday Events

Community Tree Lighting Ceremony:  Wed., Nov. 29, 5:30 pm

Come to Town Center Park for cookies and hot cocoa, musical performances by local school groups, Story Time with the Wilsonville Library, a tree lighting ceremony, and photos with Santa.  This free, family-friendly event starts at 5:30 pm, with the tree lighting occurring at 6:00 pm.  Attendees are asking to bring a new, unwrapped toy for the toy drive.


Toy Drive:  Nov. 6 - Dec. 13 

Donate a new, unwrapped toy for a child in need this holiday season. Toys will be donated to Toy & Joy/Compassion in Action Clackamas County, who will distribute the toys to local children in need. Donations will be collected in the Parks and Rec Admin Building, as well as at Wilsonville Orthodontics, Wilsonville Anytime Fitness and OCCU - Wilsonville Branch.  Toys will be accepted until Dec. 13.


Reindeer Romp 5K Walk/Run and Kids Dash:  Sat., Dec. 2, 8:00 am

It’s time to make room on your calendar for a holiday tradition that keeps you feeling festive and fit! The 5th annual Reindeer Romp and Bullwinkle Bash is just around the corner, and is a fun event for the whole family. This year’s festivities take place on Saturday, December 2nd beginning with registration at 8 am, the Kids’ Dash at 8:45 am and the 5K Fun Run at 9 am. Both runs will start and end at Bullwinkle’s Family Fun Center.  Be sure to stick around for the after-party which will feature post-race snacks, a visit from Santa, a performance by the Wilsonville Ukulele Players Society, a $5 game gift card and fun holiday crafts.  Donations for the Parks and Rec Toy Drive will also be accepted on the day of the race.


Holiday Meal at the Community Center:  Fri., Dec. 15, 12:00 pm

Don’t miss the holiday festivities at the Community Center on Friday, December 15th. The senior nutrition program will be hosting their annual holiday meal at noon, and will be serving traditional favorites like roast beef and mashed potatoes, as well as eggnog bread pudding. Attendees are encouraged to wear an ugly holiday sweater or any festive attire.
