We will discuss the components of a commercial loan, drawing distinctions between consumer loans, and look at the common components of a loan application.  Loan-making professionals will review the 5 Cs of credit and how these factors are used in evaluating a loan application, and how your business can get prepared to ask for a commercial loan from your bank, credit union, or community-based lender. We also will cover resources available in the community to support a business in becoming ready for a loan.

We will also discuss resources available to assist businesses engaged or wanting to engage globally in the sourcing of goods. Presenters will describe their respective organizations in terms of what services we provide as well as how we work together to support small businesses. This includes no-cost advising, specialized services, and professional development training.

Competitors will have the chance to pitch their business venture to a panel of local investors and win seed money for their innovative ideas. Selected competitors will have developed a unique product or service solution that solves a big problem in a national or international market.
