City Council meetings are open to the public. The public can attend any City Council work session or regular meeting. However, the Council occasionally holds Executive Sessions, which are not open to the public. All these meetings take place on the first and third Monday of each month. If a Monday coincides with a holiday, the meeting is generally rescheduled to that Thursday.

The typical meeting schedule includes:

  • Work Sessions starting at 5:00 PM.
  • If necessary, an Executive Session will follow immediately after the Work Session and/or City Council meeting.
  • City Council meetings commonly commence at 7:00 PM.
  • Meetings of the Urban Renewal Agency are arranged as needed, occurring either before or after the City Council meeting.

During each meeting, there is an opportunity for public input under "Citizen Input" on agenda items that are not scheduled for a public hearing. This is a chance for visitors to address the Council on any matters concerning the City's business or issues within the Council's jurisdiction. It is also the time to discuss agenda items not set for public hearings. Both staff and the City Council will strive to respond to questions raised during Citizens Input before the meeting concludes or as soon as possible thereafter. Comments are limited to three (3) minutes.

Agendas are available on the Wednesday prior to the meetings and are posted online. Please note that the timing of agenda items is not guaranteed (i.e., items may be discussed earlier than scheduled). The City aims to provide the following services at no cost if requested at least 48 hours in advance by contacting Kimberly Veliz, City Recorder, at //cityrecorder@wilsonvilleoregon.gov">cityrecorder@wilsonvilleoregon.gov or 503-570-1506:

  • Assistive listening devices (ALD)
  • Sign language interpreter
  • Bilingual interpreter
