Chief of Police - Jed Wilson

In January 2025, Wilsonville welcomed its new Police Chief, Jed Wilson. Wilson is a captain with the Clackamas County Sheriff ’s Office (CCSO), with whom the City contracts to provide law-enforcement services.

Since joining CCSO in 2014, Wilson has served as a deputy, a marine deputy, detective, patrol sergeant, detective sergeant, and a lieutenant within the Investigations division. Prior to coming to Clackamas County, he spent 10 years (2004-2014) with the City of Albany in a variety of community policing roles, including patrol officer, school resource officer, crisis negotiator and SWAT Team member.

The City's dedicated public safety team consists of 22 sworn officers and 1 professional staff member. This includes 12 patrol officers, one School Resource Officer (SRO), two traffic officers, two detectives, three sergeants, one CSO, and one Behavioral Health clinician. Additionally, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office provides access to a wide variety of professional support services as needed.

"As your Chief of Police, I will listen to the needs of the community, monitor trends, provide leadership, and maintain partnerships with the public and other public safety organizations. Keeping the public’s trust requires that we always act honorably in accordance with our oath, and be accountable for our decisions and actions. We commit to these principles and adhere to our core values: Honesty, Courage, and Justice.

We value your support for the men and women of the Wilsonville Police Department, whose mission is to preserve life, uphold the law, prevent crime, hold offenders accountable, and promote safety while collaborating with our community members and leadership to identify crime problems and craft innovative, adaptable solutions."
