SMART Summer Internship Program

Are you passionate about alternative modes of transportation including public transit, biking, and walking? Do you enjoy engaging with different members of the community? Would you like to be creative in a work setting? Then you may be interested in our summer internship program!

SMART offers a great opportunity to work in the transportation and public service fields. We welcome undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical experience working directly on real-time projects with our community.

Typical timeline for internship process
February-March Internship posted
March-April Interviews and job offers
June Internship begins
August/early September Internship ends

  • Creating Wilsonville walking maps
  • Creating GIS layer for bus stops
  • Inventorying bus stop signs
  • Leading bike rides 
  • Conducting community surveys
