Community Center Re-opening Plan
The Community Center is excited to announce a phased re-opening plan. Beginning July 12, in-person Social Services will resume. This includes in person meetings with the Community Center’s Social Worker, Sadie Wallenberg and the return of the medical equipment loan program. The Center will remain closed to the general public so appointments will be required for both services. Sadie can be reached at 503-570-1526.
Beginning August 2nd, the Community Center will once again open its doors to the public. The Center’s normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5pm. August will also mark the return of drop-in activities such as various card games, Bingo and Stretch, Strength and Stamina (resumes August 16). For existing drop-in groups such as Bingo, Bridge, Ladies Afternoon Out, and Photography Club the pre-pandemic time slot will remain the same. The one exception is Pinochle and Cribbage Play which will now take place on Wednesdays from 1-4pm.
September will bring the return of the Center’s more formalized class offerings such as Healthy Bones and Balance, Yoga and more. Additional class details will be available soon.
The Community Center’s congregate lunch program is hopeful to return in the fall although specifics are still being worked out.
