Field Conditions & Closures

Wilsonville Parks & Rec staff will update the field conditions hotline when rain or other inclement weather compromises field conditions.  In the event of closure, the hotline will be updated by 3pm.

The City may, but is not obligated to, close fields during inclement weather.  If the City has not closed the fields, the user group shall use good judgement to determine if the fields are safe and playable. The user group shall be responsible for any damage to the fields including, but not limited to, damage caused by use during or after inclement weather.  The fields may not be used and activities shall be cancelled if any of the following conditions exist:

• Where grass is sparse or field is worn badly and ground is saturated
• Where grass can be displaced or dislodged from the ground
• Where visible pools of surface water are present
• If the ground is wet enough that a foot sinks into the grass or leaves a print
• If the dirt (infield) areas are muddy and/or if a foot leaves a print in the dirt

If it is not safe for the players or can cause damage to the field, it's not a good idea to play.
